Our Ministry:
God has sent His son, Jesus Christ to bring the Good News of forgiveness and salvation to all. He has called us to ministry in His name and by His Holy Spirit. Therefore, as God's followers we are called to service in His Mission to call all people to faith in His Son and His saving work on the cross 2000 years ago. See more information on our beliefs and teachings at www.lcms.org.

On July 22, 2012 we installed Marty Hasz as our Pastor. He will helping us to accomplish this Mission of God here in this community, just as all other Christians here are striving to follow God's call to serve as ambassadors of God's Good News. May the Lord strengthen and guide us as we take instruction from His Word and His inspired follower's testimonies as they have been preserved and passed down to us in the Holy Bible.

Our Location: We are located in the southeast corner of Scott City, Missouri south of the railroad tracks 2 blocks east of the historic disctrict "Illmo", which was named after the connected states of Illinois and Missouri where major commerce traffic converged to cross the Mississippi River via railroad car barges and ferries etc.

In the fall of 2011 we celebrated our congregation's 160th Anniversary with a series of several special events and activities. This commemoration was a delightful time of fellowship at the same time we focused our lives around God's call to branch out with acts of love and service. The above logo was developed for the occasion and inspired by the banner which was made to hand in the sanctuary for worship, which you see to the right.

Under God's grace we have received a great heritage and we are delighted to share it with you. We have a rich treasure of history. Join us as we celebrate and give honor to God's work among us here in Scott City. We look forward to what God will do through us each day as we make a new history of God's loving work.
